GameBeat expands its production team yet keeps it all in the family

I am excited to announce a new addition to our internal production team.  Music producer and “Beatmaker” Shaun Duncan has joined GameBeat Studios as a staff producer and engineer.  Shaun is actually my youngest son. He is 22 years old and his emergence as a formidable music producer is no surprise to me.  He has shown exceptional musical talents since he was 5 years old when he began taking piano and violin lessons. Shaun has won several awards and ribbons at various piano recitals and competitions.  It was in college where Shaun caught the "beatmaking" bug and developed the desire to follow in his dad's footsteps.

As his father, I knew early on that he definitely inherited my musical talents. Through the years he has watched me grow GameBeat Studios into an accomplished, award-winning and well respected music house and I am honored that he will now be joining me in creating cutting edge original music for a variety of games, commercial advertising and digital media projects.

Shaun is constantly growing as a producer. His specialties are hip-hop and trap, and his beats have a powerful edge that cannot be described.  His unique skills are a welcome addition to GameBeat’s offerings and will only further enhance our unique versatility as a company, especially given the fact that a growing number of today’s general market TV commercials are utilizing the popular “Trap” sound.  Shaun’s talents are undeniable and I have no doubt he will be a tremendous asset to the company. He definitely has plenty to learn, but he is already producing beats at a level that I never expected and to put it simple, he is darn good at what he does and he will only get better with time.

Shaun has already developed a reputation and an impressive following in the extremely competitive world of beat making and has received many accolades from several popular underground rap artists.

I asked Shaun how it feels to now officially be a part of GameBeat Studios and he Replied:

"I am just pumped, Dad your experience as a producer has helped inspire me and has helped me develop my production skills.  This is what I want to do, and I am very happy to know that you feel I am ready.  I feel myself getting better each day and I know that I can contribute to the family business in big ways."

You can hear a couple of Shaun’s latest beats below. More of Shaun's work can be heard on our LISTEN page and like everything else you hear, is available for licensing or purchase.  I am looking forward to working with my son and continuing to expand GameBeat’s client base.
